On the afternoon of January 7, the Steering Committee for the construction and development of the Da Nang City Financial Center held its first meeting to listen to and give opinions on a number of key tasks in the coming time.

The establishment of a regional and international financial center in Vietnam, including Da Nang City, is one of the major and important policies for Da Nang to develop breakthroughs in the future. In addition to carefully preparing technical infrastructure and technological infrastructure to welcome investors, Da Nang will promote propaganda about this important policy to attract strategic investors to participate in the successful construction of the financial center. Along with fully preparing policy mechanisms, the City is researching to build a diverse ecosystem around the financial center, associated with resort tourism and entertainment services.

Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Da Nang City, Head of the Steering Committee, requested members of Steering Committee 47 and the Working Group to proactively and urgently deploy tasks and solutions according to the Action Plan for 2025. In the immediate future, departments and branches will focus on developing domestic and international communication plans; focusing on promoting the Financial Centers in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City – 2 independent financial centers with different functions and tasks and supporting each other in development. Relevant parties should immediately prepare and soon complete conditions on deployment locations, connection infrastructure, digital infrastructure to introduce and attract strategic investors; and train human resources.

It is expected that in January 2025, Da Nang will organize a workshop on “Developing an International Financial Center in Vietnam” with the participation of hundreds of domestic and international delegates. Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang requested the Steering Committee 47’s Support Team, departments and branches to actively coordinate to ensure the organization of a solemn, professional, international-scale workshop to fully introduce the potential and advantages of the Da Nang City and Ho Chi Minh City Financial Centers.
