Ho Chi Minh City: More than 7,300 job vacancies waiting for workers

The first job fair this year organized by the Employment Service Center, Department of Home Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City, has just brought more than 7,300 job positions to workers.

Nearly 60 businesses participated in the job fair at 7 locations, both in person and online, providing rich and diverse job opportunities for more than 1,000 registered job seekers. In addition to unskilled labor , job positions requiring qualifications have also increased in recruitment rates. Notably, the recruitment criteria of most businesses have been expanded from age, qualifications to experience.

Through a survey of job seekers’ needs – finding people according to the criteria of 27 occupations of the City in the first 2 months of 2025, it shows that businesses need to recruit nearly 8,500 job positions, however, only more than 6,200 workers registered to find jobs on the City’s Job Portal.
