Bustling auto accessories market

The launch of a new battery brand on the market is expected to promote the trend of using energy efficiently, safely and environmentally friendly.

Auto parts industry accelerates thanks to demand for new cars

According to a report from Mordor Intelligence, the automotive battery market in Vietnam is expected to reach 348 million USD by 2025 and increase to 485 million USD by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.83%. This growth reflects the simultaneous development of the automotive market, smart car technology and accessories. In addition, consumers are increasingly tending to personalize their driving experience by installing additional entertainment systems, sensors, smart screens, LED lights, and high-energy-consuming electronic devices. The popularity of electronic systems in vehicles has made batteries – which only play a starting role – an essential component that determines the performance and durability of vehicles. In that context, battery products with new technology have been born to meet the increasing requirements for operation and safety.

Global technology solutions for modern vehicles

Last week, the Vietnamese market officially welcomed a new name: PUMA Battery, exclusively distributed by Thanh Phat Battery Joint Stock Company. The product comes from Clarios – a group that owns many of the world’s leading battery brands such as VARTA®, OPTIMA®, Heliar®… The two main product lines apply EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery) and AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology

EFB technology enhances the ability to withstand charging and stabilize the current thanks to improvements in the plate structure. AGM technology uses a dry, airtight design with anti-leakage and fast current recovery capabilities, suitable for the hot and humid climate in Vietnam as well as vehicles with many integrated electronic devices. Both technologies have a longer life than conventional batteries, while reducing the need for periodic maintenance.

Along with the products, the electronic warranty and goods management system is also deployed to support dealers and users in the operation, maintenance and replacement process. This is a step in the strategy to modernize after-sales services of the supporting industry.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Tuong, Chairman of Thanh Phat Board of Directors shared at the launching ceremony: “The introduction of the Puma Battery brand not only adds a high-quality product line to our portfolio, but also opens up many opportunities for strong development with a nationwide dealer network. Through this, we continue to bring to consumers the best quality products, the most advanced technology, environmentally friendly and especially suitable for modern, feature-rich vehicles like today.”

In an automobile market that is rapidly changing, the emergence of new products helps increase consumer choice. Thereby contributing to promoting technological competition and improving the quality of the entire industry, towards the goal of sustainable transportation development.
