Many households selling used goods have difficulty issuing electronic invoices when purchasing goods from individuals without input invoices.
Households that sell used goods such as phones, computers, amplifiers, fans, etc., when purchasing used goods from many different people, usually do not have purchase invoices. Therefore, these households will have to prove the origin of the goods, their origin, to issue electronic invoices for sale to consumers. This is a concern of some households that are required to apply electronic invoices from cash registers, connected to tax authorities.
At a recent conference to resolve difficulties for business households, a representative of the Tax Department said that even without purchase invoices, business households can establish purchase and sale transactions in writing to create a basis to prove the origin of goods.
Mr. Mai Son – Deputy Director of the Tax Department, Ministry of Finance informed: “We gradually get used to how to establish that purchase and sale, so that we can prove that the goods are of origin, not stolen goods. We have made the sale public so that when a State agency asks, we can prove that I bought it from Mr. A, Mr. B… From there, we don’t have to be afraid of anyone, if we are transparent, we don’t have to be afraid of anyone.”
