Ministry of Industry and Trade receives request for anti-dumping investigation on float glass

The Department of Trade Defense has received a request for investigation into anti-dumping measures on float glass products from Indonesia and Malaysia.

The Department of Trade Remedies (Ministry of Industry and Trade) has just announced that it has received a dossier from companies representing the domestic manufacturing industry (the requesting party) requesting an investigation to apply anti-dumping measures on float glass products originating from Indonesia and Malaysia. Accordingly, on June 6, 2025, the Department of Trade Remedies (investigating agency) confirmed that the investigation request dossier was complete and valid according to the provisions of the law on trade remedies.

Within 45 days from the date of confirmation of the complete and valid dossier, the investigation agency will appraise the dossier to submit to the Minister of Industry and Trade for consideration of conducting an investigation or not conducting an investigation of the case. The contents of the dossier appraisal include determining the legal representative status of the domestic manufacturing industry of the organization or individual submitting the dossier according to the provisions of the Law on Foreign Trade Management; determining evidence of dumping of imported goods causing or threatening to cause significant damage to the domestic manufacturing industry or significantly hindering the formation of the domestic manufacturing industry.

To serve the appraisal of dossiers, as well as to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises producing and trading goods proposed for investigation, the investigation agency requests domestic enterprises producing and trading goods similar to the goods proposed for investigation to provide relevant information.

Specifically, information on the type of business (manufacturing, trading, etc.); design capacity and output of colorless float glass products from 2021 to 2024; the company’s opinion on the case (agree, disagree, no opinion); any other documents/evidence that the company believes are related to the case. The deadline for providing the above information is June 27, 2025.
