In 2024, shrimp exports will bring in about 4 billion USD, while rice exports will reach 5.7 billion USD. This is a successful year for the entire industry with record growth in both output and value.
This year, our country’s agricultural, forestry and fishery exports recorded a record high total turnover. The Mekong Delta has made an important contribution to production for export and domestic consumption, with important items such as rice, seafood, vegetables and fruits. Achieving this result is the effort of businesses to maintain the export market.
Bustling production is the atmosphere of the seafood factory. 2024 – is a successful year for the enterprise when it has just reached the 210 million USD mark in export value, an increase of 19% over the same period in 2023.
“From North America, the US, Canada, Japan and Europe, we have maintained a steady market structure, and the market structure has always been quite good for many years,” said Mr. Vo Van Phuc – General Director of Vietnam Clean Seafood Company.
In 2024, if shrimp exports bring in about 4 billion USD, our country’s rice exports will reach 5.7 billion USD.
Currently, 1 ton of rice exported to Europe is priced at over 1,000 USD/ton. Not only is it sold at a record high price, but Vietnamese rice also positions itself in a special market with the ability to proactively sell its products.
Mr. Nguyen Van Muoi – Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association said: “Vietnam has the advantage of growing off-season, so from November to March we still have durian for normal export, in April we start the main crop. The potential of this industry shows that the market demand is quite large”.
In 2024, in the Mekong Delta, agricultural factories will continue to innovate production lines, increase deep processing, diversify products, and do what the market needs. With such a dynamic approach, this multi-billion dollar industry will continue to grow and reap many victories.
