According to the meteorological forecast at 10:00 a.m. on October 27, 2024 of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting and the Aviation Meteorological Center on the impact of storm No. 6, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam decided to resume normal operations of incoming/outgoing aircraft at 4 airports in the Central region.
Specifically, Da Nang International Airport will resume operations from 4:00 p.m. on October 27; Phu Bai International Airport (Thua Thien-Hue) will resume operations from 4:00 p.m. on October 27; Chu Lai Airport (Quang Nam) will resume operations from 1:00 p.m. on October 27; Dong Hoi Airport (Quang Binh) will resume operations from 5:00 p.m. on October 27, 2024 (local time).
Previously, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam sent a document to the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation; Da Nang Airport, Phu Bai (Thua Thien-Hue), Dong Hoi (Quang Binh), Chu Lai (Quang Nam); Northern and Central Aviation Administrations regarding the temporary suspension of receiving and operating aircraft due to the impact of storm Trami (storm No. 6).
Accordingly, based on meteorological forecast information at 10:00 a.m. on October 26, 2024 of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting and the Aviation Meteorological Center, the impact of storm No. 6 is likely to directly affect and threaten the safety of operations at a number of airports.
To ensure safety at airports, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has decided to temporarily suspend receiving and operating aircraft at Phu Bai International Airport from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on October 27, 2024; at Da Nang International Airport from 6:00 a.m. on October 27 to 4:00 a.m. on October 28, 2024; at Dong Hoi Airport from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on October 27, 2024; at Chu Lai Airport from 10:00 a.m. on October 27 to 10:00 a.m. on October 28, 2024.
