Tan Son Nhat Airport welcomes about 122,000 passengers per day during peak season of April 30

On April 27, Tan Son Nhat International Airport announced that on the occasion of April 30 and May 1 this year, flights through Tan Son Nhat Airport increased by 10% compared to normal days.

On the peak day, there were about 126,000 passengers passing through the airport. According to Tan Son Nhat International Airport , the total number of flights of all airlines departing and arriving at Tan Son Nhat Airport averaged 740 departures and arrivals per day (450 domestic flights and 300 international flights). This number increased by about 10% compared to the current flight schedule (680 flights per day), focusing on the increase in domestic routes.

The number of passengers arriving at the airport during the peak period of April 30 and May 1 is about 122,000 passengers per day (72,000 domestic passengers, 50,000 international passengers), an increase of about 9% compared to the current number of passengers (112,000 passengers/day). During the two peak days of May 2 (domestic departure) and May 4 (domestic arrival), there are expected to be about 770 flights, with 126,000 passengers per day.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport said that Vietjet Air is still operating at Terminal T1 and has not yet operated flights at Terminal T3. Meanwhile, from April 19, passengers on Vietnam Airlines flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi and Van Don will check in at Terminal T3 at gates D4, D5, and D6. The remaining flights of Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and VASCO will continue to operate at Terminal T1.

Passengers should be present at the domestic terminal 2 hours in advance and the international terminal 3 hours in advance, prepare all personal documents and check their luggage according to regulations before checking in. The airport encourages passengers to check in online before arriving at the airport to save time.

Currently, free shuttle buses are arranged to move between terminals. The vehicle assembly location is at Terminal T1 at column B17 – B20 (Lane B); Terminal T2 at column B16 – B15 (Lane B); Terminal T3 at column A17 – A20 (1st Floor). The buses operate from 4:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., with a frequency of 15 – 20 minutes/trip.

Free drinking water at Terminal T3 is located at the following locations: Departures (3rd floor) – near the information desk, opposite the security check area (ticket and document check); post-security screening area, next to departure gate number 12; post-security screening area, next to departure gate number 15; Arrivals (2nd floor) – right inside gate A2.

A representative of Tan Son Nhat International Airport added that the airport has closely coordinated with units to develop plans and solutions to serve passengers and ensure safe operations during the April 30 – May 1 holiday.

The port requires airline representatives to be present at the counter/gate to handle and promptly inform passengers of flight delays and cancellations, to avoid passengers being upset, causing disturbances and disorder at the terminal, affecting operations at the port.
