During the official visit to Singapore by General Secretary To Lam, Vietjet announced the opening of a direct flight from Singapore to Phu Quoc and signed a $300 million aircraft financing agreement with Carlyle Aviation Partners. The event in Singapore marked a new step forward in Vietnam-Singapore cooperation, strengthening connectivity and sustainable development between the two countries.
Singapore – Phu Quoc route: New aviation bridge
The new route will begin operations from May 30, 2025, with four flights per week, bringing the total number of flights between Vietnam and Singapore to 78 flights per week, expected to serve more than half a million passengers per year. This is the fourth Vietjet route connecting Singapore with Vietnam, after Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Da Nang.
Since its first flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Singapore in 2014, Vietjet has operated more than 16,000 flights, transporting more than 2.6 million passengers. The Singapore – Phu Quoc route not only promotes tourism, but also strengthens economic, trade and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
$300 million deal with Carlyle Aviation Partners
Vietjet and Carlyle Aviation Partners signed a $300 million financing agreement to support the purchase of aircraft for delivery in 2025-2026. This agreement is a step forward in Vietjet’s plan to develop a modern fleet and fulfill its order for more than 400 new aircraft.

Vietjet and Satair form strategic partnership to provide comprehensive material services for Airbus fleet
Vietjet and Satair, an Airbus Group company, have signed a long-term agreement for Integrated Material Services (IMS) for Vietjet’s Airbus A320 and A330 fleet. Under the agreement, Satair will provide consignment storage and material management support to optimize Vietjet’s operating costs. The IMS solution ensures a comprehensive supply chain, from planning to inventory management, helping Vietjet maintain operational efficiency and readiness.
“IMS gives us the confidence to operate with the best support, allowing our maintenance and engineering teams to focus on their expertise,” said Paul Lochab, Chief Commercial Officer at Satair.
