The First Class Labor Medal is a noble award from the State, recognizing the Association’s outstanding contributions in supporting and promoting the business community.
On May 11, 2025, the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (HANOISME) solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate its 30th anniversary (1995-2025) and received the First Class Labor Medal – a noble award from the State, recognizing the Association’s outstanding contributions in supporting and promoting the sustainable development of the business community.
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan attended the ceremony and directly awarded the First Class Labor Medal to HANOISME, demonstrating the Party and State’s recognition of the Association’s active role in developing the private economy and contributing to the overall development of the capital and the country.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Mac Quoc Anh, Vice President and General Secretary of HANOISME, emphasized that over the past 30 years, the Association has made continuous efforts to become a prestigious organization, accompanying and supporting businesses in the process of sustainable development, economic integration and improving competitiveness.
From its early days with a modest number of members, HANOISME has now expanded its scale to more than 11,000 members, 28 clubs in districts, 4 clubs in Ho Chi Minh City and 5 representative offices abroad (USA, Japan, Austria, Singapore and Czech Republic). The Association has actively participated in proposing policies, organizing business support programs, promoting linkages and cooperation in the business community.

As a bridge between enterprises and State management agencies, HANOISME has made an important contribution to the development of the private economic sector, which currently accounts for about 51% of GDP, more than 30% of the State budget, creates more than 40 million jobs and accounts for more than 82% of the total number of workers in the economy.
Dr. Mac Quoc Anh affirmed that HANOISME is not only a common home for small and medium enterprises, but also a pioneer in connecting, supporting and promoting business innovation, improving competitiveness, helping businesses gradually reach out to regional and international markets.
Throughout its development, the Association has provided policy advice, organized specialized training courses, connected businesses, provided financial and legal support, and helped businesses adapt to market changes and develop sustainably.
The ceremony is not only an opportunity for HANOISME to look back on the challenging but also proud 30-year journey, but also an opportunity to affirm its commitment to continue accompanying the business community, contributing to building the capital Hanoi and the country to increasingly develop and integrate deeply into the global economy.
