The Hanoi People’s Committee and departments will remove “bottlenecks” in mechanisms to complete major projects.
The above information was confirmed by the leaders of Hanoi City at the question and answer session of the City People’s Council on the morning of December 11.
Hanoi currently has 70 projects that have not yet calculated land use fees. Of these, 20 projects have not yet hired a consulting unit to determine land prices , mainly projects that have to recalculate land use fees and land rents.
Responding to questions, a representative of the Hanoi Department of Natural Resources and Environment said that previously there were 15 units participating in consulting on land price determination, but now almost all units have withdrawn from participating.
Regarding the waste of the state-owned housing fund of Hanoi city, there is still 800 billion VND that has not been collected for many years from leasing. That is not to mention 15,000 m2 of the first floor in resettlement apartment buildings and street frontages that cannot be rented.
At the question and answer session, delegates were also concerned about the progress of transportation projects such as the southern axis road, beltway 1, underground parking lot, the issue of pollution in craft villages, and cleaning up the To Lich River.
Delegates raised many questions, requesting agencies and units to clarify the reasons for the delay in implementing the projects. Hanoi’s departments, branches and districts also proposed many plans and committed to the completion schedule for voters to monitor.
